Pager alert at 1618 UTC both boats Launched 1647 to Yacht aground at Grange chine, no persons on board On scene 1654. Coastgaurd co ordinated the search for missing persons with various units. Areas covered– F/Bay- Grange Chine – Needles – Shingles- Scratchells – Alum Bay – Totland Bay – Hurst – Christchurch Hbr – Tatingford Gap – Hurst - Yarmouth. 1610 assisted a 23' yacht with ripped sail and auxillary engine not powerfull enough to make way from anchor in Freshwater bay, towed to Yarmouth. Force 5/6

Paged 20:50 17 yr old female in difficulty under the cliffs reported by local fisherman after hearing cries for help. Needles cliff team on scene.
She had slipped on the rocks, sustaining various injuries, after walking from Brook to Freshwater Bay and had been there for approx 3hrs.
ILB made way in over rocks at low tide, casualty assessed, taken onto ILB and met by ambulance at Lifeboat station.

Paged at 15:00 to a motor cruiser 1 Mile west of the Needles. On scene found fishing net wrapped round the prop.
Towed the vessel to lymington released at 18:00
